If there are 3 things I am passionate about in this world its design, technology and social justice issues so stumbling upon this lovely one-page website was a treat!

Slavery Footprint Home page

Slavery Footprint is a beautifully designed interactive website which calculates and presents your slavery footprint score in a gorgeous infographic. The site is a wonderful blend of beautiful typography, quirky illustrations, and an engaging user interaction. Basically, everything a successful site is supposed to be. It’s not surprising the site went viral.

Slavery Footprint showcases an innovative approach to engaging users and gaining online registrations. The seamless blend of awesome had me almost forget that I was filling out a survey. I enjoyed every bit of my journey, so absorbed was I in the whole process that when the site asked for a registration I was more than happy to oblige.  A feat as every user experience designer would know is a big one.

There is nothing more I can say about this site that can really showcase how successful it is. So enjoy and have fun!

Fun facts:
The site was built in HTML5 and a great deal of CSS3 animations and it was designed by the talented agency MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER in collaboration with not-for-profit organisation Call+Response and the Digital Production company, Unit9.
