IM-Creator is a wonderful web app that allows people to design a website without touching any code at all! So simple! Great for anyone who have limited or no prior web knowledge or for those web designers who hate touching code and want to focus more on the visual design of a website.

You start off with 2 options.

1. Choose a template from their vast collection. Each template layout focuses on a particular style. E.g. portfolio templates, corporate templates etc.
2. Choose a blank template which allows you to design a layout from scratch.

The next step is also the stand out. ‘Designing and Building’ is literally a case of dragging and dropping web elements onto your web pages – no coding required. Some elements include an in-built image gallery, video gallery and even contact forms. How easy is that?

I’m also loving the minimalist visual design of the UI, helping focus the users’ visual attention towards the design of their own website. The icon navigation is easy, well-ordered and intuitive. They really did an awesome job in simplifying a process that is naturally very complex.

There are so many interactive nuances to this app that make it such great experience for any user. For example when you copy an element on one web page to another, it copies that element in the exact position it was copied from! Little nuances like that make this app such a joy to interact with.

Once the design is finalised its merely a matter of uploading your content and publishing the site live either through your own domain or a new one. (The backend code is generated for you!). Editing and maintaining your website is so easy it’s much like having your own CMS. And since it’s powered by Amazon and Google, your website is guaranteed to be indexed properly.

So all in all that’s like 3 steps to get your site up live. When I first started in this industry I would have never thought this would be possible. The joy of the world of online, moves so quickly it’s always a delight to try and keep up.
